Do we participate with others? No, your group will only be partnered with people from your group.
Your group may receive an initial safety briefing in the presence of other groups.
What is the minimum number of people required in my booking? Two persons.
Do we have to wear handcuffs? No, These are an option for people who want the extra challenge (no extra cost).
Will we need ID? If you are aged under 25 years we recommend bringing your ID with you.
What if we are under 18? Currently Persons under 18 cannot partake in this activity.
Will we be grouped with strangers? No.
However, if you're a small group (2-5 people) you may be briefed with others before being separated into your respective cells - away from the other group but with your team members (and that's only if there's another small booking at the same time).
Will we see other people? No, the cells have high walls, however the roaming guard (staff) will be able to see into your cell (for safety reasons).
Participants may be able to hear the muffled sounds others and can communicate via shouting if desired.
What if we get stuck? You may ask the security guard for help.
Are we actually locked in? You are locked in a cell but you can get out at any time.
Can we take mobile phones? You may bring your mobile phone to the event. You may use your phone inside the prison but not while in the cells. No photos of the cells are permitted at anytime.
Is it claustrophobic? We welcome anyone wishing to preview the site to contact us and arrange an inspection prior to booking.
Is it safe? The activity, props and cells have all been tested and made safe.
However we do remind people that the venue itself is an old heritage building. We encourage people to be vigilant.
What should I wear? Casual and comfortable is best. Please note at The Mills stairwell access is required so we recommend no high heels, sandals or thongs. What if I arrive late? We will commence at your start time. If you arrive before the end of the ten-minute briefing you can join in and we will brief you in-game. We will await group members until the commencement time - we will then offer the group the chance to wait or commence and have late-comers arrive after the experience has commenced.
Souvenir Photo Participants are welcome to a souvenir photo. These photos are optional.
Do we need a reservation? Yes. The experience is by appointment only.
Do you take cash? No - there are no payment facilities on site.
Will we be in the dark? No - the rooms are well lit and you have the option of a lithium ion lantern.
Are there toilets? Yes - there are public toilets available. NOTE: We do not control the upkeep of these facilities.
Can we compete? Yes, however we encourage groups to be respectful of all those participating.
How do I cancel? You may cancel using a link in your confirmation email or by contacting us. Cancellations with at least seven days notice receive a full refund. Inside seven days notice will not receive a refund, unless at the discretion of management.
Can I change or transfer my booking? Bookings cannot be transferred. Changes can be made provided the original person remains on the booking. Please notify us of any changes to your booking.
Can I add extra people? Yes - please contact us to arrange.
What if someone cannot make it? Please notify us in advance so that we can make any necessary arrangements.
When should we arrive? You should aim to arrive at the venue 5-10 minutes early but no earlier than 15 minutes.
Is there secure storage? We encourage participants to bring their valuables with them.
Can we bring food and drink? No food or drink allowed anywhere inside the Gaol or Mills. Bottled water is okay.

Is there a smoking area? The entire venue is smoke free.
Can we drink alcohol beforehand? The event is alcohol free (.00) Any person suspected of having consumed alcohol will be refused entry.
Is there wheelchair access? As the builing is a heritage site built in 1878 we have no control over some of the features (ie a gravel section or cobblestones). We have built the structure to allow wheelchair access - however please contact us prior to allow us to make arrangements to cater to any access needs and to allow us to provide you with further info.
Do we hand out Donations to Clubs or Charities? In place of donations we offer the opportunity for you to host a fundraiser event with us, for which we donate a portion of the proceeds back to you.
